The
Ranyhyn
As the dawn approaches
we emerge, from the cave of our protection
the night before we
ran on and on away from the beasts, full of fear and trepidation
our swords chipped and
damaged, from the battle that we endured
now safe and awake,
refreshed from our nights solace and peace, alive to live more
Can we continue in this
foul bane of unfriendly griffins and warlocks
our love keeps us strong
as we journey into the morning, hung on the smell of death in the air
our leather torn and
our armour buckled we rest near a stream to fill out water bags
we wash as we we keep
our sentry aware of the whispers in the trees around us
With tools roughly made
in the haste of friends, we awaken our armour and weapons to their former
strength
our belly's hungry we
now feed on the fish and the berries nature has provided
taking time for a kiss
we motivate our spirits to urge ourselves forward in to this land of the
unknown
all the while our hands
on our scabbards, ready for any duel that may threaten our being of one
We crest a mountain and
gasp at the beauty before us, spreading wide the land is lush with flowers
of purple
the blue moons balance
the landscape of green sky and white sun and strange winged creatures
hover above us
our thirst for beauty
has been quenched for a moment here, our souls lifted removing our fears
the foliage of red trees
moves and we see a heard of grand white horses approaching
As they near us we are
overwhelmed by their size and grace, manes flying, it seems love on their
face
closer now we realize
these horses are not as they seem, a heard of Unicorns has marched into
our dream
we sit upon a stone
careful not to lend any fear to them, as legends unfold in our mind
in each others arms
in silence we watch as they graze but only feet away from us right here
in our time
Together we pass our
energy on to the heard letting the love in our heart be shared
we have been noticed
by a solitary mare it seems to nod at us and the others now see our presence
we remain still, completely
amazed at this sight before us, we have longed for this legend to
be true
in our minds we hear
a smile, it seems to be coming from the mare, we acknowledge this with
our own
The mare approaches us,
we stand to greet it, it seems through telepathy of some sort she feels
safe
they know we mean no
harm, our hearts excite as we touch this magnificent life, stroking the
mane
it's horn seemingly
made of diamonds sparkling in the white sun, we look at each other
the mare tells us her
name is Ranyhyn, it is the elder of the heard
And then as if in a dream
it relays to us the story of Sylier Dragonheart and Wizard Princess
tells of our destiny
of love, our pure hearts, our undying respect for nature and magic
Ranyhyn tells
of their amazement to finally meet us, the legends of the Unicorn lore
we to them are soulfriends
and they have had a common search as ours, to find the jewel of freedom
Ranyhyn explains that
she is ours for our needs for travel swift or for magic deeds
all we need to do is
hold our jewel high and cry the name of Ranyhyn to the sky
they will come, and
they will serve us, where ever we are and for whatever fuss
we ask for what have
we earned this enchanted right, she explains it is a common fight
We are as one she goes
on to tell, our hearts are similar in our journeys and our dreams
explaining softly that
we are also needed to them, for protection against the horn gathering men
that our jewels are
now together and this is the dawn of a new time, a new millennium
our souls are charged
with new magic now, and we smile together and our love is as one with Ranyhyn
Ranyhyn turns and faces
the heard , they come to us surrounding us
then they raise
their mighty hooves high in the air, we kneel before them in our respect
i hold our jewel up
to the heavens, your arms around me oh so together
Ranyhyn cries and we
hear our names, they turn and leave us now running fast with the wind in
their manes
We have been enchanted
my love, with this experience so noble
we embrace each other
and our love is stronger
no fear in our hearts
it has disappeared
we make love
And in the distance a Dragon smiles
Sylier. .
